I Say To You
Tomorrow
And if I say to you tomorrow
Come a way with me
I speak of not this mundane world
But of our eternity
I would not confuse fantasy and fiction
With what is now present
You look through me and I envision
You in all your radiant essence
I am not a mere player of words
The words play me
I am the instrument to commune
The truth from eternity
You razzle most and dazzle the rest
But I stand unmoved
Your motion is like a queen
I am in sync with your groove
Do not take it all for granted
I hear you say again
I know you are the promised one
We are the best of friends
Why do I foment the conflict?
That we have known
Perhaps it is thus that truth
Becomes our very own
Resurrection power not of flesh
But of the life within
The life above, beyond and remaining
After this experiment in sin
So rejoice that my love is burning
Like the sting of a balm
For know we the storm of love
For ever we will know the calm
